What are the California laws on butterfly knives?

Monday, June 28th, 2010
john asked:

I’ve read the California knife laws, and it does not directly reference butterfly knives. If butterfly knives are in fact illegal, what about a training knife? Are they legal? I just want to play with one around my house because they are fun.

How Do I sell all these Knives?

Saturday, June 26th, 2010
Stephen Colbert for President asked:

OK, so like 2 years ago I was gonna start selling knives, because they were really cheap on the cutlery channel. It would still be a good business, but I’m a full time Student(High school Senior), and I just don’t seem to have time. At first my friends wanted to buy some, but they either didn’t have the(any) money or their parents found out and somewhat reasonably thought it was a little shady. Then someone was gonna hook me up on Ebay last year, but I wasn’t 18 at the time and didn’t have a credit card to start an account. So I’ve always thought that a flee market booth could be good, but then I would need all kinds of display cases, and what not. That just never worked, because like I said I’m a full time student. Oh, without me saying you probably know that I bought a set or case of knives (50-100), and then to make it worse my dad tried to give me a helping hand and through a business partner, got me another 100 or so knives. It kinda bothers me, because I had support, but just couldn’t get business going.

My brother bought me really sharp nice knives for cooking but now they are dull. I don’t want to ruin them. My electric can opener has an electric sharpener on the back but I feel that might ruin them! What should I do?

Remember the original thumb assist to open a folding knife?

Monday, June 21st, 2010
Steven R asked:

Years ago, there was a metal thumb opener that could be attached to the back of a blade on a folder knife like the Buck 110. It was a simple design made of a single piece of stainless and allowed the knife to be opened with one hand, like the knifes of today with a built in one. I am looking to one to put on my Schrade LB7 folder, any suggestions on a source? Thanks, God bless.

Friday, June 18th, 2010
Bdttn2 asked:

Pocket Knives. I only like my Case,Old Timer,Schrade,Sears and Buck knives. Only the older models, made in the USA, I’ve ran across a stainless steel china knife. I’m very optimistic about using this knife, but it seems to work well. What are your opinions on Chinese made stainless steel knives? Thanks.

tonetones03 asked:

I have an expensive set of stainless steel kitchen knives that my hubby has put in the dishwasher a few times. There are a few rustspots that I’d like to remove, but I don’t want to damage the knife. Wouldn’t steel wool scratch it?
