Does anyone know of any free on-line appraisal websites for antiques?

Eulalia asked:

My fiance works in construction and recently found an old antique in the rafters of a house he’s renovating into a photography studio. It’s either a butter knife or dessert knife maybe used for cutting cake. It’s from the Oxford Silver Plate Company according to the engraving on the back and it has the inscription Pat.Jan.25.10 on it. I’m assuming this is some kind of patent date. So any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks.

ShadowDemon asked:

I am a collector and I love swords and knifes, can’t seem to find a website where I can buy a butterfly knife and a switchblade knife, there are only for display in my game room next to my gun collection and antiques, I think they are illegal, never really checked with the authorities about what kind of knifes I can have, just need a site that would carry both this types of knives.

flash04jv asked:

I’m not sure what this is called? To me it looks like a 2 prong serving knife but I’m just not finding anything like it on Google. It has a wooden sheath to slide into and protect it, looks vintage, maybe not antique, I don’t know. I uploaded the picture on ImageShack, so it’s a safe link. Any help is much appreciated!
