Gerber Knives

Gerber knives actually got started in 1919 when Joseph Gerber began mailing handmade kitchen knives to their Adverting firm clients. Abercrombie & Fitch loved the knives and want to sell then in their catalog. It was in 1939 Joseph left the family advertising business and started Gerber Legendary Blades.

Gerber was actually the first production knife company to work with a custom knife maker and produce production knives from custom designs.

The have expanded their line and now in addition to knives, they also produce a complete line of multitools that have become popular and used all over the world.

One of their most popular knives is the Guardian 1. It was made famous as tomb raider Lara Crofts favorite blade again by Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series.
