How to paint and finish a knife blade?

well, i have a nice schrade “X timer” knife and its blade is about 7 inches long. the black finish has gotten kind of worn down and i just decided to take the it off the blade because it was looking all faded and scratched off and ugly. so i need to know how i can put a fresh black finish, or even another color, back onto it. anyone?

Can anyone help me identify this knife?

I can not find any info about the knife.The blade says Solingen on one side (I know what that is) and on the other side it says IMCO Implement Co. Germany, it also has a stag handle that could have been a replacement. Any info regarding knife would be great. Thanx.

Where can I buy good quality knifes?

How do you use throwing knives?

I own a set of throwing knives but have no clue how to properly throw them. How am I supposed to hold them, what type of action do I use to throw them, etc? A web site with pictures on how to do this would be of great help.
