3 out of 5 stars Couldn't cut through soft butter   January 18, 2010

I gave this cutlass (machete) three stars because it is one cute baby! It seems and feels durable and is a handsome tool, however, it is DULL! I do not think could cut through the softest butter. I will have to sharpen it myself. i should have bought something better and a bit moe expensive.

the machete was a great buy. very sturdy and very sharp. my only complaint was the stupid sticker on one side of the blade. its one of those big ones that no matter how hard you try you cant get it all off in one peel. well i still cant get it all off even after using water and even some chemicals.
